Adviser, Fifth Committee, finance and tax policy
Anna Cavazzini is responsible for matters relating to the Fifth Committee (administrative and budgetary matters) as well as finance and tax policy in the Office of the President of the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. She is also dealing with the preparation of UNGASS 2016.
Before joining the OPGA team, she was dealing with Fifth Committee issues as well as Financing for Development in the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to that she worked as an adviser to a member of the European Parliament in Brussels & Strasbourg and specialized in EU trade policy and different aspects of EU development policy such as development financing, food & agriculture and climate policy.
Anna has also done voluntary work in Mexico and India, directed a film on climate change in Bangladesh and organized a number of international youth events.
Anna has published articles on development policy, energy policy, climate and development, and the future of the EU. She speaks German, English, French, Spanish and some basic Dutch.
