Burundi

Burundi was placed on the PBC’s agenda on 23 June 2006, following a referral from the Security Council. The PBC has worked with the government and international and local partners to address the country’s peacebuilding priorities in the areas of good governance, strengthening the rule of law, community recovery, and land ownership.
