Grace N Vessels of Christ – Grace Educational TrustSupports orphans in the Grace Children’s Home providing food, clothing, housing, medical care; tutoring and mentoring in the evening. They make it possible for deserving children pursue their higher education at universities, technical schools and vocational schools. Funded in 2006, 2005, 2004, 2002, 2001, 2000
OFFER (Org. for Friends, Energies and Resources)This organization is a rehabilitation center, home for children with AIDS, day care center, shelter and school. It helps approx. 500 – 3000 children. The sick bay facility provides round the clock residential health care to underprivileged children, post operative care, balanced and specific diets, with doctors on call 24 hrs. In 2000 a residential facility was opened for orphans living in the streets and slums, especially the sick ones with malaria, typhoid, skin ailments, etc.
Integrated Rural People Development SocietyThis is an orphanage that houses and feeds about 50 children ranging in age from 6-14 years; 2 day care centers for 50 children ranging in age between 3-5 years and a nursery school which takes care of about 100 children whose parents are wage earners: farmers and construction workers, who can now allow the older siblings also to pursue their education instead of looking after the younger ones while they were at work. Funded in 2007
Kalai Kaviri Arts and Communications CenterThe Dalits (lowest caste, untouchables) are taught the different folk dances and music to empower and uplift them. Through these teachings of the arts they hope to bring dignity and self-worth to these poor people. Funded in 2007
Family Home Guild of ServiceSupported since 2003. This is an Orphanage for 20 destitute boys aged 5 to 12 years. They are provided with educational facilities, medical care and healthy living. Additional nutrition is provided to them on the basis of medical advice.
Rehabilitation Centres for ChildrenSupported since 1981, this is a Centre for the orthopedic rehabilitation of disabled children, both resident as well as outpatients. Supports 70-80 residential children per month. Our money is used for general running costs.
Shishu Sarothi Spastic SocietySupported since 1991. This Centre is for treating children with cerebral palsy, mental retardation and delayed milestones. There are 70 children in the Centre for Special Education, 250+ children in outdoor service, 100+ children in outreach centre project in rural areas.
Nari Seva SanghaSupported since 1972. This is a Preschool for children of 3-6 years from needy families. Funds are used to upgrade the midday meal and provide better educational supplies as well as to give a stipend for one or two of the outgoing students to continue their studies.
Foundation for Restoring Human DignitySupported since 2005. This project supports children of prisoners, sex workers and homeless children by placing them in shelter homes and providing them with food, education and counseling. They also supply health care for complicated surgeries and health camps for specialized treatment. In addition, they have adopted a school and help to meet its needs. The project has helped to relocate child victims of the Tsunami.
SAIKRIPAThis is an orphanage, school and rehabilitation center for 435 needy children.
All India Confederation for the BlindsIt provides shelter, food, and free education facilities for 96 needy blind children.
New Life Development SocietyThey provide schooling to 338 children from the rural village areas. They conduct Educational Awareness Programs, rallies and parents*teachers meetings in order to motivate people towards the need and importance of education for their children. We emphasize on girl-child education. They encourage environment activities, regular games, sports, etc, to keep children active and fit. They provide them nutritious refreshments. They also provide basic health education. Funded in 1999, 2001, 2004, 2007.
Bethlehem AshramInstitution that provides food, cloth, shelter and schooling for children from the streets, hospitals and very poor families. Located in Kerala, they serve about 36 children from birth to 15 years old. Funded in 2004, 2007.
Andhra Loyola CollegeThis Organization provides schooling to the poorest children on the area. They also supply school materials. They serve about 80 children from 4 to 10 years old. Funded in 2007.
UNWAThis Association runs a kindergarten for 3 and 4 years old. These children are selected from the poor neighborhoods and slums. They provide uniforms, meals and preschool education. They serve 130 children. Funded in 2005, 2007
San Jose Bala BhawanThey take boys from poor families and give them rehabilitation and send them to school. They assist 50 children from 5 to 16 years old. Funded in 2005, 2006.
Family Health & Development Research Service FoundationThis Foundation provides nutrition support for children below 5 years old. They also provide schooling for children up to 14 years old to prevent child labor due to school dropout. They serve 3.000 kids. Funded in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007.
South Calcutta Sebashree SanghaThis Organization runs a free open air primary school. They provide materials, uniforms and food free of cost. Also regular medical checkup are done and medicines are given for free. They assist 100 children from 4 to 14 years old. Funded in 2000, 2002, 2006.
SwasthaThey assist 90 children from 5 years and up by giving them special education, self help skills, pre vocational and vocational skills and conduct short term courses on rehabilitation. Funded in 2006.
