UNWG spring bazaar 2007
The United Nations Women's Guild is holding its Annual International Bazaar on 3 May, 2007 at the south lobby of the Secretariat Building. This event aims at raising funds to help the needy children around the world. Membership of the Guild consists exclusively of volunteers and all proceeds and donations go to children's hospitals, orphanages, schools and to charities dedicated to the service of handicapped children, especially in areas affected by disasters, (both natural and man made). In 2006, the Guild assisted 108 institutions with the total of US$ 126,500.00.
During the Bazaar, members will be selling food, handicrafts, artworks and other items donated by Guild members and supporters. Furthermore, a raffle will be drawn.
