MDG Indicators
The MDG Indicators website presents the official data, definitions, methodologies and sources for more than 60 indicators to measure progress towards the Millennium Development Goals. The data and analyses are the product of the work of the Inter-agency and Expert Group (IAEG) on MDG Indicators, coordinated by the United Nations Statistics Division. You will also find the official progress reports and documents produced by IAEG. Links to related sites and documents and constantly updated news will keep you up to date with the ongoing activities on MDG monitoring.
MDG Monitor
The MDG Monitor shows how countries are progressing in their efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. With the 2015 target date fast approaching, it is more important than ever to understand where the goals are on track, and where additional efforts and support are needed, both globally and at the country level. The MDG Monitor is designed as a tool for policymakers, development practitioners, journalists, students and others to track progress through interactive maps and country-specific profiles, learn about countries' challenges and achievements and get the latest news, and support organizations working on the MDGs around the world.
UN Data Portal
The UN Data Portal, UNdata, developed by the Statistics Division of DESA, brings UN statistical databases within easy reach through a single entry point from which users can search and download a variety of statistical resources of the UN System. The innovative design allows users to access a large number of UN databases either by browsing the data series or through a keyword search. Currently, there are 14 databases and 6 glossaries containing over 55 million data points and covering a whole range of statistics including Population, Industry, Energy, Trade and National Accounts.
MDGInfo
MDGInfo presents country-level statistics available as of July 2009 for the global monitoring of progress achieved towards the MDGs since 1990.
UNICEF Monitoring & Statistics
UNICEF measures the situation of children and women and tracks progress through data collection and analysis. It maintains and updates global databases and promotes dissemination of evidence-based data for planning and advocacy. UNICEF is the lead United Nations agency responsible for the global monitoring of the child-related Millennium Development Goals.
World Bank Atlas of the Millennium Development Goals
The Online Atlas of the MDGs is an innovative visualization of the Millennium Development Goals that complements the World Bank's MDG website. You can explore maps of key indicators for each of the eight MDGs, resize countries to reflect comparative values, zoom in on countries and pull up quick tables of supporting indicators.
