Yingfan Wang,
Vice-Chairman, Foreign Affairs Committee, Chinese National People's Congress 2003-2008

Yingfan Wang was born in the Inner-Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China in 1942. He graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University.

Wang held posts in the Chinese embassies of Ghana and the U.K., and served as Ambassador to the Philippines from 1988 to 1990.

In 1995, Wang was appointed Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, and served in that function until the year 2000, when he became the Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations in New York.

From 2003 to 2008, he served as Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress.

Wang is married and has one daughter.
