DESA - UN DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS
THE DIVISION FOR SOCIAL POLICY AND DEVELOPMENT , of DESA, implements the World Summit for Social Development (WSSD) Copenhagen Declaration and the Programme of Action.
The Division provides substantive support for the annual session of the COMMISSION FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
The Division's main objective is to strengthen international cooperation for social development, with particular attention to three core issues :
- Poverty eradication,
- Employment generation and
- Social integration.
