 INIA - INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE ON AGEING
International Institute on Ageing - "Mandate"
The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) recommended establishment of the INIA. The Institute was inaugurated in 1988 as an autonomous body under the United Nations. Its objectives are to fulfill the training needs of developing countries and to facilitate implementation of the Vienna International Plan of Action on Ageing.
