BRIEFING ON THE FINDINGS OF THE INTERNAL INQUIRY
INTO THE DEATH OF Dr. MILAN KOVACEVIC

 

The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) is about to make public the findings of the internal inquiry into "the circumstances surrounding the death of Dr. Milan Kovacevic on 1 August 1998".

Following this tragic event, the Vice-President of the ICTY, Judge Mohamed Shahabuddeen, acting as President, ordered an internal inquiry. This internal inquiry was conducted over the past weeks by Judge Almiro Rodrigues who reported to the President on 27 August 1998.

The findings of the inquiry will be made public during a briefing to be given by the ICTY Spokesman on Monday 7 September 1998 at 11 a.m.
