Jim Landale, Spokesman for Registry and Chambers, made the following statement:

Good afternoon,

This week the Tribunal is hosting a four-day visit by the Court Management Section of the War Crimes and Organised Crime Sections of the Criminal and Appellate Divisions of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The three person delegation, led by the Head of the Section, is visiting the Tribunal's Registry as part their preparations to receive cases which may be transferred to the court pursuant to Rule 11bis of the Tribunal's Rules.

The aim of the visit is for the delegates to learn as much as possible about the individual 11bis cases; to discuss the logistics of transferring files, evidence and persons, looking at issues arising out of specific procedural or protective orders that may have been issued in the proceedings.

In particular, the delegation will be familiarizing itself with the progress of these cases to date, reviewing the public case files and discussing with court officers and other court management and Registry staff issues relating to the physical and electronic storage of files and evidence. The visit also includes meetings with the ICTY audio visual team and discussions on the use of video link capacities which have been set up at the Court in Sarajevo.

The closing arguments in The Prosecutor v. Sefer Halilovic are scheduled for this coming Monday starting at 9 a.m. in Courtroom III. They have been scheduled to last two days.

As I announced last week, the closing arguments in the trial of Fatmir Limaj, Haradin Bala and Isak Musliu will also start on Monday at 2.15 p.m. in Courtroom I.

I would also like to remind you that the Appeals Chamber will render its judgement in the case against Miodrag Jokic next Tuesday, 30 August starting at 2.15 p.m. in Courtroom III.

Status conferences will be held in The Prosecutor v. Pandurevic and Trbic this afternoon at 2.15 p.m. in Courtroom I; in The Prosecutor v. Borovcanin also this afternoon at 3.30 p.m. also in Courtroom I; in The Prosecutor v. Drago Nikolic again this afternoon at 2.15 p.m. in Courtroom III; and finally in The Prosecutor v. Milutinovic et al tomorrow at 3 p.m. in Courtroom I.
