 The Drafting Committee adopted on second reading (A/CONF.183/DC/R.157- R.159, R.161-R.163):  article 21 bis (Nulla poena sine lege); article 37 (Qualification, nomination and election of judges); article 38 (Judicial vacancies); article 47 (Removal from office); article 102 (Assembly of States Parties); article 82 (Proceedings on appeal); and article 83 (Revision of conviction of sentence).  The Drafting Committee adopted on first reading (A/CONF.183/DC/R.146-R.148):  article 87 ([Surrender][Transfer][Extradition] of persons to the Court); article 90 (Other forms of cooperation [and judicial and legal [mutual] assistance]); and article 90 ter (Consultations).

 The Drafting Committee adopted on first reading (A/CONF.183/DC/R.151, R.155, R.156):  article 96 (Supervision of the enforcement of sentences and conditions of imprisonment); article 98 (Limitation of prosecution/punishment for other offences); and article 99 (Enforcement of fines and forfeiture measures).  The Drafting Committee considered (A/CONF.183/DC/R.149, R.150, R.152-R.154, R.165):  article 90 quater (Waiver of immunity); article 94 (Role of States in enforcement of sentences of imprisonment); article 94 bis (Change of designation of State of enforcement); article 95 (Enforcement of the sentence); article 96 (Supervision and administration of sentence); article 97 (Transfer of the person upon the completion of sentence); and the Final Act.

 
 
 CREDENTIALS COMMITTEE

1st meeting

The Credentials Committee met to consider the credentials of the representatives of the States participating in the Conference.  It approved those credentials which met the requirements of rule 3 of the rules of procedure of the Conference.  It provisionally approved the credentials of representatives with copies or faxes of credentials or other communications from embassies or permanent missions in the form of letters or notes verbales, pending the receipt of the original credentials.  The Committee requested the representatives of those States whose credentials had been provisionally accepted to submit original formal credentials as soon as possible.
