Global Sustainability Panel at the Delhi Sustainable Development Summit (DSDS)

The High-level Panel on Global Sustainability introduced its recently launched report at the 12th Delhi Sustainable Development Summit (DSDS) on 2 February 2012. The following Panel members participated at the event:

  • Tarja Halonen, President of the Republic of Finland and Co-chair of the Panel
  • Gro Harlem Brundtland, Former Prime Minister of Norway and Chair of the World Commission on Environment and Development
  • Connie Hedegaard, European Commissioner for Climate Action, and former Minister for the Environment, Denmark
  • Jairam Ramesh, Minister of Rural Development, India

Mr. Janos Pasztor, Executive Secretary of the Panel, moderated the event. The event began with a brief welcome from Ms. Kiran Mehra-Kerpelman, Director of the United Nations Information Centre in New Delhi, and Dr. Rajendra K Pachauri, Director General, TERI, and was followed by remarks from President Halonen and other Panel members.
