Earthquake in Chile
The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Dr. Ali Abdussalam Treki, is deeply saddened and concerned by the news of the massive earthquake that struck Chile overnight and triggered a tsunami warning in the Pacific.
The President of the General Assembly sends his condolences and prayers to the people and Government of Chile on this tragedy.
The President calls on the international community and all Member States to deploy all possible efforts to urgently assist Chile in the aftermath of this catastrophe.
The President of the General Assembly continues to follow closely the developments.
