President Treki addresses the League of Arab States
Yesterday the President of the General Assembly addressed the Council of the League of Arab States in Cairo at the invitation of the League’s Secretary-General, H.E. Amr Moussa. Dr. Treki highlighted the main priorities on the agenda of the sixty-fourth session of the General-Assembly, including the thematic debate he intends to hold on issues such as Disarmament and Non-Nuclear Proliferation, Dialogue among Civilizations and the situation in the Middle East. The Council of the League of Arab States welcomed these initiatives by President Treki, underlining the need to revitalize the work of the General Assembly in tackling important issues on the international agenda. The council commended the work undertaken by the General Assembly on important issues of the sixty-fourth session.
