Queen Elizabeth II to address the General Assembly on 6 July
Following his official visit to London last week, the President of the General Assembly, H.E. Dr. Ali Abdussalam Treki, is pleased that Queen Elizabeth II will address the General Assembly on 6 July 2010. On behalf of the Member States of the United Nations, the President looks forward to welcoming Her Majesty the Queen on that occasion.
The President of the General Assembly is confident that the Queen's visit to the United Nations will be a strong expression of support to the world body, and hopes that Her Majesty's appearance at the Assembly will provide a tremendous boost in advancing the important agenda of the General Assembly for the sixty-fourth session.
