President chaired the meeting of the Open-ended Working Group on the Question of Equitable Representation on and Increase in the Membership of the Security Council and Other Matters related to the Security Council; hosted luncheon for the revitalization of the General Assembly; received a courtesy call by the new Permanent Representative of India 10 June 2002
 

Today Dr. Han chaired the meeting of the Open-ended Working Group on the Question of Equitable Representation on and Increase in the Membership of the Security Council and Other Matters related to the Security Council.

Dr. Han hosted luncheon concerning issues about the Revitalization of the General Assembly. H. E. Mr. Cristian Maquieira, Deputy Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of Chile to the United Nations, H. E. Mr. Hynek Kmonicek, Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic of the United Nations, H. e. Mr. Jean-David Levitte, Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations, Ms. Tan Yee Woan, Deputy Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of the Republic of Singapore to the United Nations, Mr. Henri Stephan Raubenhiemer, Counsellor, Permanent Mission of the Republic of South Africa to the United Nations, Mr. Chen Jian, Under-Secretary-General, Department of General Assembly Affairs and Conference Services, Mr. Vadim Perfiliev, Duputy Director, General Assembly and Ecosoc Affairs Division, Mr. Ozdinch Mustafa, Chief, General Assembly Servicing Branch, H. E. Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Chef de Cabinet, Office of the President of the General Assembly, Mr. Oh Joon, Minister Counsellor, Office of the President of the General Assembly, Mr. Lee Baek-soon, First Secretary, Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations and H. E. Dr. Han Seung-soo, President of the General Assembly attended the lunch.

In the afternoon, Dr. Han received a Courtesy Call by the new Permanent Representative of India, H. E. Mr. Vijay Kunhianandan Nambiar.
