Today, Dr. Han met with members of the Open-ended Working Group on the Question of Equitable Representation on and Increase in the Membership of the Security Council and Other Matters Related to the Security Council.
Dr. Han had a luncheon with H. E. Ambassador Gerhard Pfanzelter, Permanent Representative of Austria, H. E. Ambassador Yukio Satoh, Permanent Representative of Japan, H. E. Ambassador Francisco Seixas Costa, Permanent Representative of Portugal, and H. E. Ambassador Kishore Mahbubani, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Singapore.
Later in the afternoon, Dr. Han met with the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Mr. Kenzo Oshima. Dr.Han was briefed on the investigation situations surrounding the possible misconduct by humanitarian assistance personnel in West African region.
Dr. Han received a
courtesy call by H. E. Mr. Anwarul Karim Chowdhury, the newly appointed
High Representative for Lease Developed Countries, Land-locked Developing
Countries, Small Island Developing States. Ambassador Chowdhury briefed
the President on his plan for the work of his office.
