General Debate continued today; President had luncheon with the current and former Presidents of the Security Council

General Debate continued today. Statements were made from the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of Nicaragua, Mongolia, United Republic of Tanzania, Netherlands, Guinea, Cuba, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Costa Rica, Sweden, Yugoslavia, Saudi Arabia and Turkmenistan in the morning.

President had a luncheon with the current and former Presidents of the Security Council, H. E. Miss Mignonette Patricia Durrant, and H. E. Mr. Richard Ryan. They discussed the recent development in Afghanistan.

In the afternoon, the General Debate continued.  Statements were made from Dominica, Greece, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Gambia, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Burundi, Malaysia, Bahamas, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Tajikistan, Brunei Darussalam and Viet Nam.

Dr. Han received courtesy calls by the Foreign Minister of Luxembourg, H. E. Ms. Lydie Polfer, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, H. E. Mr. Anatoliy Zlenko, the Foreign Minister of Bahrain, H. E. Shaikh Mubarak, the Prime Minister of Mongolia, H. E. Mr. Nambaryn Enkbayar, the Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, H. E. Mr. Goran Slavilanovic.
