President
met with the President of the International Court of Justice, H. E. Mr.
Gilbert Guillaume; presides over Plenary meetings in the morning and in
the afternoon

Dr. Han met with the President of the International Court of Justice, H. E. Mr. Gilbert Guillaume and discussed the work of ICJ, in particular, budget of the organ.
In the morning, the General Assembly paid tribute to Mr. Ismat Kittani, the President of the 1981 session of the General Assembly who died recently. On behalf of the General Assembly, Dr. Han conveyed his condolence to Mr. Kittani’s family.
The General Assembly considered the report of the International Court of Justice and took note of it.
In the afternoon, the General Assembly adopted a resolution for the item of “the Dialogue among Civilizations” rescheduling the date of its consideration to 8-9 November. The question of equitable representation on and increase in the membership of the Security Council was also discussed.
