General
Assembly met in plenary
15 October 2001
Today the General Assembly met in plenary to review the Report of the Security Council (document A/56/2). Ireland, as President of the Security Council for the month of September, introduced the report.
The provisional list of speakers for the General Debate is now available. There are 23 Heads of State and 13 Heads of Government so far.
Regarding dates for
the Special Session on Children, General Assembly is getting feedback
from the Member States but early next week General Assembly should be
able to announce a decision.
