met with Young Broadcasters; General Assembly Plenary Meeting continued
with President presiding; Briefing on ICT Task Force; President met with
Ambassador Miss Mignonette Patricia Durrant

This morning, Dr. Han met with 11 Young Broadcasters from developing countries who are the participants in DPI’s training programme for Broadcasters.
General Assembly 18th Plenary Meeting continued today.
Dr. Han was briefed on ICT Task Force by Mr.Sarbuland Khan and Dr. Pekka Tarjanne who reported on working program of ICT Task Force. The brief was about ICT Task Force establishment Situation, ICT Task Force Inauguration Preparation. Due to the recent attack in New York City, the inaugural meeting of the UN-ICT Task Force was postponed. They will reschedule the launch in the second half of November when the UN-ICT Task Force will decide on all aspects of its work programme.
Dr. Han met with H.E. Miss Mignonette Patricia Durrant, Permanent Representative of Jamaica, Ms. Bellamy Carol, Executive Director of UNICEF. They made a courtesy call of General Assembly and discussed new dates on Special Session on Children. Several options will be posted in regional group meeting for this consideration and Dr. Han along with H.E. Miss Durrant, Ms. Bellamy, hoped to fix the date for Special Session on Children as soon as possible.
Dr. Han hosted luncheon with Chairmen of Regional Groups.
