President
hosts informal meeting for the preparation of the High Level Dialogue;
attends luncheon with EU ambassadors

Today, Dr. Han started his day by hosting informal meeting for the preparation of the High Level Dialogue. The participants were H. E. Mr. Elias Gounaris, Permanent Representative of Greece, H. E. Jorge Lara-Castro, Permanent Representative of Paraguay, H. E. Mr. Ion Botnaru, Permanent Representative of Moldova, H. E. Mr. Dumisani Shadrack Kumalo, Permanent Representative of South Africa who would serve as chairmen of the round tables and informal panels in their capacity as vice presidents of the General Assembly. Under Secretary-General, Mr. Nitin Desai, DESA was also attendant. They discussed how to hold meetings of high level dialogue.
At the luncheon with EU ambassadors, Dr. Han exchanged views with them how to organize works of the 56th session under the unusual circumstances in the wake of act of terror on 11 September 2001.
Later in the evening, President and Mrs. Han has hosted dinner for the Secretary General and Mrs. Annan.
