The President today met with H.E. Sir Jeremy Greenstock, Permanent
Representative of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern
Ireland. They discussed issues related to the work of the
Security Council in connection with the United Kingdom holding
the Presidency of the Council during the month of April.
The new Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco,
H.E. Mr. Mohamed Bennouna paid a courtesy call to the President.
The President met with Mr. Rauno Merisaari, Executive Director
of the Finnish United Nations Association. Their discussion
focused on the upcoming seminar of the Finnish UN Association
on the in Helsinki in which Mr. Holkeri will be delivering
a speech. The topic of the seminar is the upcoming General
Assembly Special Session on Children.
The President hosted coup de champagne to bid farewell to
Mr. Kuo-Chung Lin, Secretary of the First Committee.
