The Open-ended Working Group on Security Council Reform met today with Mr. Holkeri presiding over its meeting. The Workign Group discussed the Cluster II issues, including record-keeping practeces regarding the informal consultations of the whole in the Security Council.

The President today attended a reception, hosted by the Permanent Representative of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, on the occasion of the National Day of Egypt.

Later on the day Mr. Holkeri attended a dinner, hosted by the Permanent Representative of Mexico, H.E. Mr. Jorge Navarrete, in honour of the Permanent Representative of Australia, H.E. Ms. Penny Wensley.
