Before returning back to New York, Mr. Holkeri met with H.E.
Ms. Liz O'Donnell, Minister of State of Ireland to discuss,
among other topics, the themes of Irish development co-operation
and current issues in Ireland.
Mr. Holkeri also exchanged views with H.E. Mr. Benjamin Mkapa,
President of the United Republic of Tanzania on the preparations
for the HIV/AIDS special session, to be held next June.
Also, Mr. Holkeri had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Ato Girma Birru,
Minister for Economic Development and Cooperation of Ethiopia,
where discussion touched upon the issues related to the Third
UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries.
