Today, the President began his two-day visit to Estonia. The highlight of the first day was a luncheon hosted by H.E. Mr. Lennart Meri, President of the Republic of Estonia.

Earlier in the day, the President met with Mr. Harri Tiido, Deputy Under-Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The President also met with representatives of local UN Agencies. Attending the meeting were Mrs. Doris Kareva from UNESCO, Mr. Toomas Palu from UNICEF and Mrs. Kristiina Mauer from UNDP.

Later Mr. Holkeri attended a dinner at Pädaste Manor. Also attending the dinner were Mr. Juri Saar, Saare County Governor, Mr. Allan Olljum, Director of Division of International Organisations and Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
