The President today met with representatives of the civil society to hear their views on how the United Nations could develop channels towards the civil society.

Mr. Holkeri presided over a meeting of the Open-ended Ad Hoc Working Group on the Causes of Conflict and Promotion of Durable Peace and sustainable Development in Africa. The Group adopted parts of its report.

The President today met with H.E. Mr. Valery Kuchinsky, Acting Permanent Representative of Ukraine. They discussed the proposal for a resolution on the Council of Former Presidents.
