Mr. Holkeri today met with Mr. Pertti Majanen, Under-Secretary of State for Development Co-operation at the Finnish Foreign Ministry. They discussed current issues related to development financing, in particular the need to implement the commitments contained in the Millennium Declaration in this regard.

The President also met with H.E. Mr. Noureddine Mejdoub, Permanent Representative of Tunisia, who visited the President on a courtesy call.

Later the President had lunch with Mr. Lars Colliander of the Scandinavian-American Foundation.
