The President met with the vice-chairpersons of the open-ended working group on the Security Council Reform, H.E. Mr. Thorsteinn Ingolfsson, Permanent Representative of Iceland and H.E. Mr. John De Saram, Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka. They discussed the upcoming meeting of the working group, which will take place on Monday 5 February 2001.

The President attended a luncheon, hosted by H.E. Mr. Sorin Dumitru Ducaru, Permanent Representative of Romania, in honour of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania and Chairman of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), H.E. Mr. Mircea Dan Geoanea.
