Composition of the Bureau

As part of the ongoing dialogue between the members of the Committee and the Department of Public Information, the Bureau meets throughout the year to keep delegations informed of the relevant developments and to provide the Department with the guidance of Member States on matters of mutual concern.
Election of officers
At its organizational session held in 1980, the Committee on Information reached an agreement according to which the principle of geographical rotation would be applied to all officers of the Committee and they would be elected to two-year terms.
Members of the Bureau
The Officers of the Committee on Information for the period 2011 - 2012 are as follows:

- Vice-Chairman: Mr. Moses Sayela Walubita (Zambia)
- Vice-Chairman: Mr. Stephane Crouzat (France)
- Vice-Chairman: Mr. Gheorghe Leuca (Moldova)
- Rapporteur: Mr. Mohammad Reza Sahraei (Iran)
