Yesterday afternoon, as expected, the Plenary adopted the agenda for the fifty-third session, composed of 166 items and it also agreed on their allocation, as well as on a number of other organizational aspects.
The Assembly approved the recommendation that the meetings start punctually at 10:00 am and 3:00 pm as a 10-minute delay in any meeting at Headquarters results in waste of $800,000 a year. It took note, for example, of the voluntary guideline that the statements in the general debate do not exceed twenty minutes.
With regard to the plenary meetings of the General Assembly on globalization scheduled for tomorrow, there are 44 speakers inscribed scheduled to address the Assembly, the list of speakers is available . A press advisory prepared by the Department of Public Information is on the racks.
Tomorrow morning the update no. 5 to the list of speakers should be available.
