Today, the General Assembly is continuing hearing the speakers on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Yesterday, 64 Member States and two observers addressed the Assembly during three sessions. The plenary is meeting the whole day today to hear the remaining 56 Member States and four observers.
No plenary meetings are scheduled for Monday.
The Fifth Committee is holding informal consultations this morning, this afternoon and this evening. It will also hold three meetings of informal consultations tomorrow, Saturday.
On Monday afternoon, the Credentials Committee will hold its second meeting, to consider the credentials received after its meeting held in October.
