Bahrain: One-day seminar to assess progress on the “End Violence against Women” campaign, organized by the UN Information Centre, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Supreme Council for Women, the Bahrain Business Association, and the Bahrain National Union of Women (Manama, 25 November).
Belgium
The United Nations in Brussels is organizing the screening of three films from the gripping series “Women on the Frontline”. The films feature issues of violence against women in three different countries: the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Austria and Mauritania. The films will be followed by a discussion with Ms. Miriam Schär, Advisor at the Domestic Abuse Intervention Centre in Vienna, and Dr. Margaret Agama, UNFPA Representative in the DRC.
