H.M. Queen Noor

H.M. Queen Noor [Jordan] is prominent humanitarian activist and an eloquent advocate for the rights, protection and potential of women, in the Arab and Muslim world and around the globe. Her work on behalf of women spans many areas, from encouraging womenís empowerment through micro-enterprise, to supporting refugees, landmine survivors and other women recovering from conflict, to promoting womenís valuable talents as peacemakers. She champions womenís and family health initiatives in the developing world.† Harvard University has commended the reproductive health and AIDS-education programs of the Noor Al Hussein Foundation in Jordan as unique regional models.
