UN declaration on rights of indigenous peoples inspired changes – Al-Nasser

UN Photo/Mark Garten 17 May  2012 - The President of the General Assembly, Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, today hailed the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, adopted five years ago, as a landmark document that has inspired positive changes in the protection of the rights of indigenous communities.

UN expert urges US to take more robust measures to tackle indigenous issues
