Event Description: This year's theme, "Sustainable Peace for a Sustainable Future," focuses on the role that natural resources play in financing or fuelling conflict and what is being done to address this issue.

Activities: The events at UNHQ in New York include the Peace Bell ceremony with the participation of Messengers of Peace and Goodwill Ambassadors, followed by a student videoconference that will connect 500 students in NY with peacekeeping operations in Liberia and South Sudan.
