Event Name: Small Arms Review Conference (27 August-7 September)
Event Description: More than a decade has passed since the adoption in 2001 of the UN Programme of Action (PoA) to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects. The PoA laid the foundation for action at the national, regional and global levels. The Second Review Conference to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects will offer the opportunity to review the progress made in the implementation of the PoA, including the separately agreed International Tracing Instrument (ITI).
