Event Name: UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues
Event Description: This year's theme is "the Doctrine of Discovery: its enduring impact on indigenous peoples and the right to redress for past conquests." Discussions will also focus on the rights to food and food sovereignty, the 2014 World Conference on Indigenous Peoples, and issues concerning Central/Eastern Europe, the Russian Federation and Central Asia.

Activities: The session will include a report on violence against indigenous women and girls, and a high-level event to mark the fifth anniversary of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
