The organizing partners are self-selected major group organizations that have agreed to collaborate with the CSD-12 Bureau through the  UN Secretariat to facilitate, to the maximum extent possible, the input from the major groups community at large in the work of the CSD. 

Tasks for the Organizing Partners

• Consult with networks to prepare a discussion paper  that reflects their group’s overall views on the status of implementation of water, sanitation and human settlements, including the cross-sectoral themes, and the successes and challenges of implementation. 
• Consult with networks to identify relevant experts and other participants to serve on their delegations with diverse expertise and knowledge to better interact and be integrated in the various formats that are currently being discussed by the Bureau. 
• Coordinate and facilitate the participation of their delegation throughout the CSD-12 session.
