CSD-9

The ninth session of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD-9) met at UN Headquarters in New York on 5 May 2000 and from 16 to 27 April 2001. CSD-9 gave special attention to the following main issues:

• Energy for sustainable development;
• Atmosphere;
• Transport;
• Information for decision-making and participation;
• International cooperation for an enabling environment;
• Preparations for the World Summit on Sustainable Development.
