Internships a re available at the secretariat of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. Please review the instructions and fill out an application form. Competitive Examinations

Junior professionals are recruited through National Competitive Recruitment Examinations. These examinations are organized as a matter of priority in countries that are inadequately represented among the staff of the Secretariat. The examinations are administered in a number of occupational groups, including administration, economics, electronic data processing, finance, legal affairs, library, political affairs, public information, social development, and statistics.

In order to qualify for these positions, a candidate must possess a first level university degree and be 32 years of age or younger.Fluency in either English or French is required. A knowledge Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish is also desirable. All those who meet these criteria and believe in the purposes and ideals of the United Nations are encouraged to apply.
