Contribution by Governments
On behalf of Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Panama, Equador, Jamaica, Mexico, Guatemala, Paraguay, Colombia, Costa Rica and El Salvador, we would like to submit the following proposed ammendment to article 29, (a) (i):
Insert the words "electoral campaigns, in particular in the mass media",
before "voting procedures". The full sentence will read: "Ensuring
that
electoral campaigns, in particular in the mass media, voting procedures,
facilities and materials are appropriate, accessible and easy to understand
and use".
