The European Federation of Older Persons (EURAG) held its XIX. Congress in Leon, Spain (6-8 November 2008). The theme of the congress was Shaping the future, through effective participation of all ages. Age Demands Action (coordinated by HelpAge International) is a campaign that seeks to empower older people to demand policy changes from their leaders. Representatives from 35 countries around the world are taking part and have been engaged in preparations over the past 4 months
