United Nations (1973). Methods of projecting households and families (United Nations publication, Sales No. E.73.XIII.2

This Manual is an aid to demographers and population experts to project households and families using data from population and housing censuses. The Manual explains extrapolative and regression projection methods based on headship rate and alternative indicators. Although the illustrative examples relate mostly to developed countries, the applicability of methods for developing countries is discussed. Manual VII is related to Projection Methods for Integrating Population Variables into Development Planning, Modules One and Three.
