Golini
is Professor of Demography, University
of Rome and a member of the National Research
Council of Italy. Professor Golini has published extensively on issues
related to population ageing and was the organizer of the 2005 International
Conference on Trends and Problems of World Population in the 21st
century. He has served as the representative of Italy to the United
Nations Commission on Population and Development and chaired the 2000
and 2001 sessions of the Commission. He is also the editor of Genus, a
well know population journal. Professor Golini holds a Ph.D. in demography.

| Andrew
Mason is Professor of Economics, Department of Economics, University
of Hawaii at Manoa and Professor of Demography
at the East –West Center in Honolulu. Professor
Mason is also member of the Center for the Economics and Demography of
Aging, University of California – Berkeley and member
of the Harvard Program on the Global Demography of Aging. He was Director
of the East-West Center
from 1992 to 1996. He has conducted extensive research on population
ageing and published numerous articles on the topic. He holds a Ph.D.
in Economics from the University
of Michigan. |
| Naohiro
Ogawa is a Professor of Economics and Deputy-Director of the Population
Research Institute of Japan. Professor Ogawa has conducted extensive
research and has published many articles and books on the topic of population
aging. He is also a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Pension
Economics and member of the international advisory board of the Journal
of Asian Population Studies. Prior to joining the Population Research
Institute of Japan, Professor Ogawa was a Population Affairs Officer with
the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia
and the Pacific. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hawaii. |
| Elena
Zuñiga was the former Secretary-General
of the National Population Council (CONAPO) of Mexico.
She has worked extensively in different areas of population, including
migration and population aging. Ms. Zuniga has served as the representative
of Mexico to the United Nations Commission on Population
and Development and was a Vice-Chairperson during its 2005 session. Ms
Zuniga is currently an independent consultant. |
