                                   AGAINST WOMEN

          Reports provided by specialized agencies of the United Nations
          on the implementation of the Convention in areas falling within
                           the scope of their activities

                           Note by the Secretary-General


     In accordance with article 22 of the Convention on the Elimination of All
Forms of Discrimination against Women (General Assembly resolution 34/180,
annex), specialized agencies of the United Nations have been invited to submit
to the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, at its
sixteenth session, reports on the implementation of the Convention in areas
falling within the scope of their activities.  The reports received will be
issued as addenda to the present document.
