The Commission on Human Rights and its Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities respectively requested that copies of two reports be made available to the Conference pursuant to paragraph 11 of Commission on Human Rights resolution 1995/85, entitled "The elimination of violence against women", and paragraph 5 of Subcommission resolution 1994/30, entitled "Traditional practices affecting the health of women and children". 2. The two reports are therefore being made available to the Conference under the following titles and document numbers: (a) Preliminary report submitted by the Special Rapporteur on violence against women, its causes and consequences, Ms. Radhika Coomaraswamy, in accordance with Commission on Human Rights resolution 1994/45 (E/CN.4/1995/42); (b) Plan of Action for the Elimination of Harmful Traditional Practices affecting the Health of Women and Children (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1994/10/Add.1 and Corr.1). -----
