Following statements by the representatives of the Philippines (on behalf of the Group of 77 and China), Latvia (on behalf of the Eastern European Group of States), China, Colombia, Benin, Spain (on behalf of the European Union), the United States, Algeria, Cuba, Ecuador, Bolivia and India, as well as by the Chairperson, the Committee agreed to postpone consideration of the chapter. Non-Paper No. 2 (Chapter II) The Vice-Chairperson of the Committee, Ms. Amma Yeboaa (Ghana), introduced the document and reported on the results of consultations held in Working Group I. Statements were made by the representatives of Guatemala, the Holy See, Bulgaria, the Russian Federation, India, Pakistan, the United States, Canada, the Sudan, Malta, Spain (on behalf of the European Union), Malaysia, Mauritania and Israel, as well as the Vice-Chairperson, Ms. Yeboaa (Ghana).
