Travel Support for Delegates from eligible countries at UNFF11
On 6 February 2015, the Note Verbale 15/66 [ en | fr | es ] on UNFF11 was transmitted to the Permanent Representatives of Member States and to the Permanent Observers of Non-Member States to the United Nations in New York. An information note on the availability of financial support for travel of delegates from eligible countries is annexed to the Note Verbale.
The following text on travel support is an extract from the information note annexed to the above-mentioned Note Verbale. For full please read the annex to the above mentioned Note Verbale.
"Travel Support for Delegates from Developing Countries and Countries with Economies in Transition: Travel support and daily subsistence allowance at the established United Nations rate may be provided to one Government-designated delegate per eligible country to the maximum extent possible from the limited available budget on a first come, first serve basis.
Please note the following when applying for Travel Support
- Please read all the pages of the Note Verbale including its information note
- Please note that a Note Verbale regarding travel support should be sent EXCLUSIVELY from your respective Permanent Mission to the UNFF addressing it to United Nations Forum on Forests at firstname.lastname@example.org with copy to Ms. Edith Niamke at email@example.com no later than 13 March 2015. No other types of communications will be accepted for requests for travel support
- A copy of the official communication sent by the Permanent Missions to the United Nations in New York, containing the nomination of the Government-designated delegate, should be advanced to the UNFF Secretariat by fax +1 917 367 3186 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org with copy to Ms. Edith Niamke at email@example.com"
