About the event

The Government of China is organizing a Seminar on the Implementation of the UN Forest Instrument (UNFI) and Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) from 4 to 24 July, 2017 in Beijing, China, which will be hosted by the State Academy of Forestry Administration of China. It is tailored for government officials from developing countries in charge of international negotiations on forests, implementation of the UNFI, and forest administration. It will focus on the implementation of the UNFI and SFM, developments in international forest policy as well as forest financing and China’s forestry situation. The seminar will include lectures, case-studies and a field trip to a SFM demonstration area in the Liaoning Province of China.
